The South America ski season is generally in the middle of the year (comp-ared with the USA / Europe / Canada season). Typically, during the years of moderate snowfall, the ski season in Chile and Argentina lasts from mid-June to mid-October. In some years, ski tours or "skin lifting" are possible until November. However, if you are looking for the best snow cover, the best chance for snowfall, a small crowd and the cheapest accommodation, then there is definitely a great place to go to Chile and Argentina for skiing here. After the cancellation of the ski season last summer due to covid-19, ski resorts in Chile and Argentina are looking forward to returning guests to the legendary slopes of the Andes in the Southern summer season of 2021, albeit with some known precautions.
